What if emotional intelligence
was just a language that most of us were never taught?

Emotional intelligence is no longer optional for a healthy, functioning world.

We built ecue.world because many of humanity’s biggest crises; violence, burnout, disconnection, addiction, and polarisation, all share one quiet root cause: emotional illiteracy. Most people were never taught how to understand, express, or regulate their emotions, yet these skills shape every relationship, workplace, family, and community. ecue is a small daily habit with a global vision: helping people build emotional intelligence one cue a day, to create a more emotionally literate world.

The practice

Awareness is the seed.
Collective growth is the forest.

  1. You complete the assessment.

Before we begin, a short conversation maps where you are across eight dimensions of emotional intelligence. Eight to twelve minutes. The result isn’t a score. It’s a placement. A precise starting point, honest and without judgement.

  2. Your daily cue arrives.

Every morning, one cue arrives. A single question calibrated to your placement across one of eight EQ dimensions. You respond in your own words. ecue reflects honestly back. No right answers. No performance required. Two minutes of real practice.

  3. Your tree
    grows.

Every cue you complete waters your tree. It grows because you kept showing up. The same way fluency in any language grows through daily, consistent, imperfect practice. The tree doesn’t know if you answered well. It only knows that you returned.

Questions

What ecue is, and who it’s for.

What is ecue?

ecue is the platform where people come to become emotionally fluent. Through one daily cue, thoughtful reflection and real-world practice, ecue helps people build emotional intelligence one conversation at a time. Created by the founders of the She Is Not Your Rehab movement with the belief that emotional intelligence is a language most of us were never taught.

How does ecue work?

ecue is a daily emotional intelligence practice. Each day you receive one short cue, respond in your own words, and get an honest reflection back. It is built by the founders of She Is Not Your Rehab to help people learn the language of emotions most of us were never taught.

Who is ecue for?

ecue is for anyone who wants to understand and handle their emotions better: people working on how they show up in relationships, people breaking patterns they grew up with, and anyone who finds traditional therapy hard to access or start.

How is ecue different from therapy or a journaling app?

ecue is a daily practice, not therapy and not an open journal. It gives you one specific prompt a day, calibrated to where you are, and reflects back honestly, so you build emotional skill through small consistent reps rather than long sessions or a blank page. It does not replace therapy, and it points you to professional support when something needs it.

Is ecue free?

Yes. ecue is currently free during its private beta.

What does the ecue assessment do?

Before you start, a short 8 to 12 minute conversation maps where you are across eight dimensions of emotional intelligence. The result is not a score, it is a placement: a starting point that calibrates your daily cues to you.

Matt and Sarah Brown MNZM founded ecue after more than a decade spent sitting with people’s pain.

Through their work in family violence prevention in communities all over the world, they saw the same pattern everywhere: people struggling with emotions they were never taught to understand.

ecue exists to change that.

A simple daily habit designed to build emotional intelligence, because the health of our relationships, communities, and society depends on it.
